Liebherr Company History
Hans Liebherr is the inventor of the mobile tower crane. In 1949, he started the production of affordable tower cranes. Today, this company is represented worldwide as a manufacturer that specialises in the development and implementation of construction vehicles (such as excavators, shovels and articulated haulers), machine tools and, of course, hoisting cranes and telescopic cranes.
Worldwide, there are about 130 companies operating under the same name. This family business is still run to this day by Hans Liebherr's descendants.
